Housing for all: Chief Minister Sai inaugurated 7 residential projects of Chhattisgarh Housing Board


1650 houses will be built by Chhattisgarh Housing Board

E.W.S. 80,000 rupees in buildings and L.I.G. The state government will provide a subsidy of Rs 40,000 for buildings.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated 7 residential projects of Chhattisgarh Housing Board under “Atal Vihar Yojana” at the Chief Minister’s Residence Office with the aim of realizing the vision of ‘Housing for All’.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said on this occasion that one year of our government is about to be completed. On this occasion, Atal Vihar Yojana is being launched by the state government so that houses can be provided at affordable rates to the needy, especially the people in urban areas.

Under the residential projects launched by Chief Minister Shri Sai, EWS, LIG ​​and MIG at 07 different places in Bhurkoni-Raipur, Patharra-Rajim, Khartuli-Dhamtari, Sihad-Dhamtari, Pulgaon-Durg, Gurur-Balod, and Kokdapara-Bijapur. First class houses will be built. Under these projects costing about Rs 300 crore, 1650 houses will be built, in which E.W.S. And L.I.G. 1452 houses of category and M.I.G. 200 first class houses will be built. Beneficiaries will be able to do online registration of buildings through the website (www.cghb.gov.in) sitting at home.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that our illustrious Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana with the aim of providing housing to every urban poor family. Taking inspiration from this, our state government has started ‘Atal Vihar Yojana’ to provide affordable and pucca roofed houses in place of houseless or kutcha buildings in various cities and development blocks of Chhattisgarh, under which 50,000 buildings will be constructed by the Housing Board. The target for construction and allocation has been set.

The Chief Minister said that for Atal Vihar Yojana, government land is being made available to the Housing Board at Re 1 per square foot. Instructions have been given to all the district collectors of the state in this regard. In continuation of the previously announced grant in this scheme, E.W.S. 80,000 rupees in buildings and L.I.G. A grant of Rs 40,000 is being given by the state government for the buildings.

Finance and Housing and Environment Minister O.P. Chaudhary said on this occasion that houses under Atal Vihar Yojana will be constructed with quality. Under this scheme, houses will be built in the capital Raipur as well as in the remote Bijapur district. Soon this scheme will start in all the districts.

The scheme of free-holding regular buildings was started by the Housing Board in the year 2012. In this scheme, giving priority to the demands of the people of the state, our government has provided 100 percent exemption in diversion fee and penalty in the buildings being free-held in the recent cabinet meeting held on 26 November 2024. About 80 thousand beneficiaries of Housing Board will get relief.

On this occasion, Secretary to the Chief Minister P. Dayanand, Secretary of Housing and Environment Department Ankit Anand, Secretary of Urban Administration and Development Department Basav Raju S., Commissioner Chhattisgarh Housing Board Kundan Kumar and senior officials of Chhattisgarh Housing Board were present.
