According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light rain at some places in Delhi NCR. The effect of snowfall on the mountains will be seen in North India. The temperature is going to drop rapidly.

The effect of snowfall in the mountains is visible in North India. Due to fresh snowfall in the hilly areas these days, severe cold is going to increase in the coming days. The Meteorological Department estimates that there will be light to moderate snowfall in the Himalayas on December 8 and 9 and there is every possibility of light rainfall in the plains of Punjab and Haryana.

There may be light rain at some places in Delhi NCR today (December 8, 2024). At the same time, after December 9, as the Western Cyclonic Storm will move ahead, cold wave conditions may occur in North Eastern India.

According to IMD, the temperature will fall first in Rajasthan. After this, the temperature will start falling from December 10, due to which cold wave conditions may arise in Punjab, Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, it was cold in Delhi on Sunday morning and the minimum temperature was 8 degrees Celsius, which is two degrees less than the daily average. The AQI of the city remains in the poor category, which was recorded at 276 in the morning. Many areas of North India remained cloudy and there is a possibility of light drizzle. The surface winds are blowing from the south-east direction with a speed of 10 km per hour in the morning.

Talking about fog, there is light fog in the morning and there is less possibility of light to moderate fog in the coming days. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has said that during the evening and night the wind speed from south-east direction will reduce to less than 10 km per hour. There is a possibility of fog in the evening/night.
