These days many police officers of Madhya Pradesh are fond of studying astrology. Be it former CBI Director Rishi Kumar Shukla or DG Police SS Lal. IPS officer Shailendra Srivastava, who retired from the post of Director Sports, also likes astrology very much. Rajesh Gupta, who retired from the post of ADG (AJAC) in September, was also fond of astrology since childhood, instead of decreasing even after joining the police service. Rishi Kumar Shukla is busy increasing research in astrology. He says that astrology is not a matter of scaring people and giving solutions in the name of predicting the future. SS Lal has also written books on astrology. Many IAS officers have also had similar hobbies. These include the names of DS Mathur, JS Mathur.
Rishi Kumar Shukla said- Many misconceptions spread in astrology
Rishi Kumar Shukla says, ‘The effort to understand time has remained at the top of all human searches. The desire to know the future motivates man towards action. There is complete science involved in how to improve the future.
According to him, ‘Many misconceptions are spread in astrology today. Who might have what problems and what would be their solutions? This is all going on in astrology. How to remove these misconceptions. How to research and reach the right direction. ‘There should be correct interpretation of astrology. This is our effort. We have also formed an organization for this. Astrology and Ayurveda have been followed in my family for generations. I was also interested from the beginning. When I did some research about 25 years ago, my curiosity increased further.
Curiosity towards astrology increased the desire to learn.
Regarding interest in astrology, retired DGP SS Lal says, ‘I have some curiosity since childhood. If we find some company then we move forward in it. When he was studying engineering at IIT Kanpur, some students used to predict their future by looking at their hands. We were also curious.
‘When I joined the service, I was ASP in Bhind. There, the possibility expressed by Hindi professor Dr. SS Sharma regarding my marriage and transfer turned out to be correct. After this I started learning from him. Worked with Rakesh Sahni in electricity department. He was also curious about this subject. I have also written two books on astrology.
