The violence of Bangladesh, bent on violence against Hindus, is increasing day by day, construction stopped

The violence of Bangladesh bent on violence against Hindus is increasing day by day. Now the construction work of a temple in Sribhoomi district of Assam was temporarily stopped after the intervention of Border Guard Bangladesh (Bangladeshi soldiers). However, Sribhoomi district administration officials said it was merely a matter of confusion, and it was resolved after discussion. Sribhoomi District Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Dwivedi told HT that the reason for the confusion was a black plastic cover near the reconstruction site of the temple on the international border. He said, “The Mansa temple near the border was under reconstruction and the workers made a small tent there, due to which the BGB jawans came there. Due to the intervention of BGB, the construction was stopped for some time and the confusion was cleared after the flag-meeting in the evening.”

Shribhoomi district (formerly Karimganj) shares about 95 kilometers of border with Bangladesh and about 40 kilometers of this is riverine border, which includes a large area near Shribhoomi town. On Thursday afternoon, a BGB team from Bangladesh’s Sylhet division reportedly crossed the river border into Indian territory where construction work was taking place. They also wrote a letter to BSF and asked the workers to stop their activities. A senior Border Security Force (BSF) official said it was not an unusual attempt and the border security forces of the two countries keep talking to each other. “The river is the boundary here, so half of it is covered by BGB and half by us,” he said. Whenever we see something unusual, we keep inquiring about each other’s side. They wanted to talk about construction in Indian territory and we cleared the confusion by discussing.”

The officer said they went to the middle of the Kushiyara river after showing the flag meeting signal and the BGB responded while the matter was discussed. Assam Police officials in Sribhoomi district administration said the temple is located on the banks of Kushiyara river and the government has sanctioned a sum of Rs 3 lakh for its reconstruction. Sribhoomi district superintendent of police (SP) Partha Pratim Das said that some incomplete information was shared about the case. “These discussions are very common,” he said. Some incomplete information was shared about this, but everything is fine now.” Earlier this week, thousands of locals from Assam’s Barak Valley gathered near the India-Bangladesh international border in Sribhoomi to protest against alleged attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh. During the protests, at one point the police and BSF were attacked and lathi-charged the protesters, resulting in serious injuries to several people.
