Will ensure strict security of planes along with cleanliness by installing cameras in colonies
Till a year ago, 23 cases of bird collision with aircraft were reported at Indore airport. This time only nine cases have been reported so far. Along with the airport management, the Municipal Corporation and other agencies also made efforts to stop these incidents. The administration and the corporation along with the airport management will take strict steps to completely stop this. Throwing garbage in the open around the airport attracts birds. In such a situation, now the Municipal Corporation will monitor those throwing garbage in the open through the residents of the colonies around the airport area.
This will ensure the cleanliness of the colonies as well as the safety of planes and birds. The number of aircraft at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport is continuously increasing. Along with the development of many colonies, there are also trees and religious places nearby. In such a situation, birds are attracted by throwing garbage and food items in the open. These birds often collide with planes. Last year, after 23 bird collision incidents at the airport, the airport management cut the grass inside the airport and also closed the open chambers.
Distributed pamphlets by putting up sign boards
To reduce the movement of birds in the airport area, pamphlets were distributed in seven colonies including Chandan Nagar, Firdous Nagar along with Bijasan area. Sign boards were put up in Bijasan area to make people aware. Regular cleaning was done by writing a letter to Nainod Gram Panchayat. After storing food on Bijasan, the waste was immediately removed.
