Team India again faced defeat in the Pink Ball Test match in Adelaide. Team India was defeated by Australia by 10 wickets. With this, this five-match Test series is now tied at 1-1. Captain Rohit Sharma did not blame the defeat on the batsmen or bowlers, rather he held the entire team responsible for the defeat. He also said that Australia played better than us and we did not play well, due to which we had to suffer the consequences. Captain Rohit has said that we wanted to win the Test here like in Perth, but the challenge of every Test is different.

Rohit Sharma said in the post match presentation ceremony, “It was a disappointing week for us, we did not play well. We had to suffer the consequences of this. Australia played better than us. We failed to take advantage of our opportunities. What we did in Perth was special. We wanted to do it again, but every Test match has its own challenges. We are excited about it (GABA test). Have some very good memories there. “We want to start off well and play a good game.”

Rohit Sharma made a comeback as captain. He did not play in the Perth Test match. India won that match. This is the fourth defeat for Rohit Sharma as captain. They have lost three Tests against New Zealand at home. Now the challenge for them in Brisbane is how they make Team India win, because if India loses one more match here then it will become difficult for them to reach the final of the World Test Championship i.e. WTC. India will have to depend on the results of other teams. Captain Rohit Sharma would not want this.
