Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will be on a three-day official visit to Russia from today. The Defense Ministry said that during the visit, Defense Minister Andrey Belousov of Russia will co-chair the 21st meeting of the India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Military and Military Technical Cooperation in Moscow on Tuesday. The two leaders will review the entire range of multidimensional relations between the two countries in the defense sector, including military-to-military and industrial cooperation. They will also exchange views on contemporary regional and global issues of mutual interest.
Defense Minister will commission the Indian Navy’s latest multi-role stealth guided missile frigate ‘INS Tushil’ into the naval fleet at Yantra Shipyard, Kaliningrad on Monday. Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi will also accompany Mr Singh on the occasion. Additionally, the Defense Minister will pay tribute at the ‘Tomb of the Unknown Soldier’ in Moscow in honor of Soviet soldiers killed during World War II. He will also interact with members of the Indian community.
