A shocking incident has come to light from Redhakhol in Sambalpur district of Odisha. Here, Baba Prafulla Mahala of Vaishnav Jhuli Ashram has been accused of raping a girl by giving her intoxicating pills. The police have arrested him and started investigating the case. Police say that further action is being taken in the matter.
According to the information, the victim girl was suffering from stomach ache and acidity for a long time. About a month ago, he had contacted Baba of Vaishnav Jhuli Ashram for treatment. Baba gave him some pills to eat and asked him to come again after a month. Meanwhile, on Thursday, the girl came to Redhakhol hospital with her relative and talked to Baba on phone to get medicines during treatment.
Baba raped me in unconscious state
After this Baba called him to the ashram. When the girl reached the ashram, Baba gave her four pills to eat. After consuming these pills she became unconscious. Baba raped her while she was unconscious. When the girl regained consciousness, she was sent in the auto. As soon as the girl’s family got information about the incident, they lodged a complaint at Redhakhol police station.
BNS section registered on Baba Prafull Mahala
The police took immediate action and arrested Baba Prafulla Mahala from the ashram. Confirming the incident, SDPO of Redhakhol said, Section 64 (L) of BNS has been imposed on Baba Prafulla Mahala. Now the police is investigating the matter further. Action will be taken on the basis of whatever facts emerge in the investigation.
