According to the PLFS report, the projected worker population ratio (WPR) has increased from 46.8 per cent in 2017-18 to 58.2 per cent in 2023-24. The WPR indicating employment under normal circumstances for persons aged 15 years and above declined from 6 per cent to 3.2 per cent during this period.
