Chhattisgarh-Chief Minister started the speech at AIIMS Auditorium in Raipur, ‘Important contribution of health services in development’

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai launched the 100-day state level Nikshay Niramay Chhattisgarh campaign by pressing the remote button at AIIMS Auditorium in Raipur. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai also started the online transfer of the amount of Rs 1,000 to be given per month to the beneficiaries under Nikshay Nutrition Scheme by pressing the button of the remote.

The Chief Minister also administered the oath of Nikshay Niramay to all the people present on the occasion. Under the Nikshay Niramay Chhattisgarh programme, TB, leprosy and malaria patients will be identified in the state for the next 100 days and their treatment will be ensured. The scheme also includes health check-up and treatment of the elderly people of the state. In his address on this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that along with developed India, the target has been set to make Chhattisgarh a developed state by the year 2047 and to achieve this target, health services in the state will have an important contribution. He said that the first year of our government’s tenure is being completed on 13th December. In the last 12 months, we have given top priority to the expansion of health services and facilities in the state. Health and education are two subjects which are directly related to the development of the state and the nation. When every citizen has good health and gets good education, then they will be able to contribute their maximum to the development of the nation. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that along with the field staff of the Health Department, all the doctors have always discharged their responsibilities with promptness in the health campaigns being run in the state. Despite lack of means of transportation in many inaccessible areas, the health department staff has extended its services to the interior villages. Our doctors and health workers have undertaken long treks and even crossed rivers and streams to reach many inaccessible villages. He said that in reality, this passion of your people is no less than the passion of any army soldier. He said that Nikshay Niramay Chhattisgarh campaign will play an important role in achieving the goal of getting rid of diseases like TB, leprosy and malaria. On this occasion, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said in his address that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, the state is moving towards Niramay Chhattisgarh. He said that health facilities are continuously being expanded in Chhattisgarh. For this, super specialty hospitals are being started, new hospital buildings are being constructed to reduce the pressure of patients on big hospitals like Mekahara and doctors are being recruited continuously. He said that a new record is being set regarding health facilities in the state. The Health Minister praised the field staff, especially the Mitanin sisters, and thanked them for improving the health facilities in Chhattisgarh. On this occasion, the Health Minister thanked the beneficiaries of Nikshay Nutrition Scheme for starting to provide funds through online DBT. During the Nikshay Niramay Chhattisgarh campaign program, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai personally provided nutritious food, hearing aids, walkers and walking sticks to the beneficiaries. Along with this, the Chief Minister also honored doctors, social workers and Mitanin sisters who have done excellent work for health services. On this occasion, Arang MLA Mr. Khushwant Saheb, Raipur South MLA Mr. Sunil Soni, Special Secretary of Health Department Ms. Priyanka Shukla and MD NHM Mr. Vijay Dayaram K. were also present.
