Additional Chief Secretary Energy Shri Neeraj Mandloi, M.P. Inspected the load dispatch center located at Nayagaon in Jabalpur, the headquarters of the power transmission company. During the inspection, Shri Mandloi took information regarding the cyber security of the State Load Despatch Centre. He was told that in this regard, the load despatch centers of other states have been advised by the Central Electricity Authority at the national level to follow the cyber security related procedures of Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company.
Shri Mandloi, with the help of state-of-the-art technology equipment at the State Load Despatch Center Jabalpur, conducted real time monitoring of the power system of the state, data coming from the sub-stations of the entire state and the grid, grid discipline, load pattern of extra high tension sub-stations. Also received information about energy accounting, open access etc. and gave necessary instructions.
Know preparations for disaster management
Additional Chief Secretary Shri Mandloi took information about the preparations related to disaster management of the State Load Despatch Center in case of power crisis in the state. He was told that the reliability of the system and the arrangements to deal with adverse situations are tested from time to time through mock drills and eye landing schemes in the load despatch centre.
Shri Mandloi discussed about the power scheduling done to maintain the power system in Madhya Pradesh at the load dispatch center, coordination with power generation houses, 400 KV of Madhya Pradesh. Learned about many other technical topics like power flow in transmission lines, production of renewable energy etc. He also understood the concept of One-Nation-One Grid and discussed the challenges of integrating the increasing production of solar energy in the state with the grid. Praising the world-class systems and functioning of the Load Despatch Center of Madhya Pradesh, one of the best load despatch centers in the country, Shri Mandloi said that running such a complex system with accuracy 24X7 is a very challenging task. At the time of inspection, Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company, Mr. Sunil Tiwari, Chief Engineer of State Load Despatch Center, Mr. Pradeep Sachan and other senior officials were present along with Mr. Mandloi.
