Ratlam Police has started a new experiment towards the safety of the general public. Now the police is going to keep complaint boxes outside schools and colleges so that the concerned people can express their views through them. The identity of the complainant will be kept secret.
The police administration has taken the initiative to install complaint boxes outside schools and colleges for girls, women and women to complain about molestation, harassment and other crimes. Along with complaints and suggestions, dial 100 number is also written on the boxes. Complaint can be made only on plain paper.
In the SP office meeting room, SP Amit Kumar, ASP Rakesh Khakha and other police officers told that the boxes will be opened every three-four days. SP Amit Kumar told the media that at present efforts are being made to install boxes in all the schools and colleges of the city.
- The complaints received will be collected at the concerned police stations and from there they will be sealed in an envelope and sent directly to ASP Rakesh Khakha.
- All the boxes will be installed at such a place where there are no CCTV cameras nearby. So that the identity of the complainants cannot be revealed.
- Police will take immediate action on the complaints received. The name of the complainant will be kept secret.
- Complaints regarding molestation, harassment and other crimes can be dropped in the said box.
- Apart from crimes related to women, women, girls and students can also complain about other crimes and illegal business happening in their areas and give suggestions to curb the crimes.
Complain about sewerage and filth on the helpline
For sewerage related problems, city residents can lodge complaints on helpline number 9179590374 from Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 7 pm. Complaints regarding works like cleanliness, drinking water, lighting, garbage collection vehicles etc. can be lodged on the mayor helpline number 07412-270551 and mobile number 6232006700 from 10:30 am to 4 pm.
Railway ticket payment is also being done through QR code
Railways has also started the facility of QR code for payment for purchasing unreserved tickets at Ratlam railway station. Due to this, passengers are able to get tickets in less time and the problem of opening has also been solved. Due to less time, the queue at the ticket window has also become shorter.
