Under the chairmanship of Collector Partha Jaiswal, a review meeting regarding the preparations for Kharif 2024 and Rabi 2024-25 was held at Collectorate Chhatarpur. In the meeting, District Panchayat CEO Mrs. Tapasya Parihar, D.D. Agriculture, GM Cooperative Bank, Deputy Director Veterinary Shri R.N. Sen, Assistant Director Horticulture Mr. Jagdish Singh Mujalda, Assistant Director Fisheries Department Mr. Nitin Verma and other officers were present. In the meeting, fertilizer demand and availability of Rabi season, information on development block wise sowing, status of soybean procurement, information about registration centers, status of soil testing lab, Kisan Credit Cards given to farmers, information about custom hiring centers, fire in Narwai were discussed. The incidents of plantation, organic farming, seed corporation etc. were reviewed. Also Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sa Yojana, State Funded Scheme, Integrated Horticulture Mission Scheme, Atal Groundwater Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Agricultural Irrigation Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Enterprises Upgradation Scheme, Veterinary Vehicles, Poultry Farming, Goat Farming, Pig Farming, Fodder Development. , Acharya Vidyasagar Gausamvardhan Yojana etc. were reviewed.

Collector Shri Jaiswal took information about how many defaulters there are among the farmers of the district and instructed the officials of the Cooperative Bank to increase the recovery percentage. Expressing displeasure over the low recovery in Buxwaha, instructions were given to take necessary action. Instructed AD Fisheries to encourage fisheries by fixing leases for 50 ponds by the month of December. Displeasure was expressed over the distribution of leases to only 300 ponds out of a total of 916.

The Collector instructed the Horticulture Department to select farmers in the district to produce good quality fruits like watermelon, guava etc. Besides, farmers should also be given necessary advice regarding production. Apart from this, vaccination etc. of animals were reviewed.
