Direct air service from Jabalpur to Pune will start soon. This assurance has been given by Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarappu Rammohan Naidu to MP Ashish Dubey. MP Dubey met the Civil Aviation Minister in New Delhi on 28 November and requested him to start air services from Jabalpur to various cities of the country.
Air service will run from Jabalpur for 16 days for Maha Kumbh
Air service is starting from Jabalpur for the Mahakumbh organized in Prayagraj. From January 10, Alliance Air flight will go from Jabalpur to Prayagraj. This plane will first reach Jabalpur from Delhi at 8 pm and then leave for Prayagraj at 8.25 pm.
Demand submitted to start air services in Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Chennai
The Union Minister assured the MP that flights between Jabalpur and Pune would be started soon. He himself will come to Jabalpur to flag off this flight. MP Dubey also submitted the demand letter to the Union Minister for starting air services from Jabalpur to Pune, Jabalpur to Kolkata, Jabalpur to Ahmedabad and Jabalpur to Chennai.
Told about the inconvenience caused by reduced air connectivity
The MP said that earlier direct or one stop flights were available from Jabalpur to various metros and cities of the country but this has reduced in the last few months. The MP discussed with the Minister about the inconvenience being faced by the citizens of Jabalpur due to reduced air connectivity.
There will be an alternative route from Pune to reach Mumbai also.
Said that during the Lok Sabha election campaign, demand for starting flights between Jabalpur and Pune was raised on a large scale. A large number of devotees travel by road and rail to go to Kumbh. Air route has also been provided for the convenience of passengers. Mahakumbh will be held from 13 January to 26 January. Alliance Air has also scheduled this flight till 26th January. In this regard, the company has also informed air traffic control and airport management.
