Continuous campaign against Naxalites is going on. The news is from Mulgu district of Telangana. This area is adjacent to Chhattisgarh. Recently, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had said that all the states will have to work together to eliminate Naxalites.
The Naxalites are facing losses from all sides in the anti-Naxal campaign being run against the Naxalites in coordination with the states. Now seven Naxalites have been killed in an encounter between police and Naxalites in Mulgu district on the border of Chhattisgarh-Telangana state.
Bodies of seven Naxalites have been found from the encounter site. Other weapons including AK-47 have also been recovered. It is being speculated that big Naxalites have also been killed in the encounter. Greyhounds force is present at the spot. Search operation is going on in the area.
Highest loss in Bastar this year
At the beginning of the year, in the capital Raipur, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had held a meeting of police officers of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh and had talked about conducting anti-Naxal operations in mutual coordination. A target was given to completely wipe out Naxalites by 2026.
Since then, after 96 encounters in Bastar this year, the bodies of 207 Naxalites carrying a reward of Rs 8.84 crore have been found by the police. The People’s Liberation Group of Naxalites has accepted that out of 253 Naxalites killed in the country this year, 226 Naxalites were killed in Bastar region.
