40% of Naxalites in Madhya Pradesh are women, who work to communicate with people in villages, collect administrative information and spread their demands. The process of throwing pamphlets in the encounter has ended. The police is focusing on development work instead of the demands of Naxalites.
Of the approximately 75 Naxalites active in Madhya Pradesh, 40 percent are women. This information has come to light in the police intelligence report. All of them are working with men in different groups. It has also come to light that some Naxalites are living like lovers.
Naxalites put women forward to communicate with the village people, to know about their problems, to distribute leaflets, to trick people or to ask for any kind of help. Women mix easily among the village people. With this, they also keep getting information about administrative activities in the village. Like men, women are also from Chhattisgarh or Maharashtra. Most of the women are in the age group of 25 to 40 years.
This time the pamphlet was not thrown in the encounter
Till now it used to happen that Naxalites used to throw leaflets related to their demands during encounters. He had not done this in the recent encounter in Balaghat. It has definitely been revealed that before this, in some villages they had spread leaflets asking for increasing the amount of tendupatta, increasing the rate of bamboo cutting and increasing wages. He makes such demands to get the support of the village people.
Do not work as per the demands of Naxalites
Police Headquarters officials said that we have been paying special attention to development activities not as per their demands but in collaboration with other departments and agencies. To increase communication facilities in the affected areas, they build mobile towers, build roads and organize special camps to extend the benefits of government schemes to the common people. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) work is also being done from private companies.
