A case of supply of fake fertilizer from Uttar Pradesh has come to light in Madhya Pradesh. The team of Revenue and Agriculture Department has seized fake fertilizer in Chhatarpur. In this case, FIR has been registered against 6 named and 6 unknown accused.
Chhatarpur district administration took action to seize 460 bags of illegally stored DAP fertilizer on Wednesday morning. The value of the fertilizer seized by the Revenue and Agriculture Department is Rs 6 lakh 21 thousand. This fertilizer was brought from Muzaffarnagar in UP to be sold in Chhatarpur.
Under the direction of Collector Partha Jaiswal, FIR has been lodged against a total of 12 accused for transporting illegal fertilizer DAP seized in village Kalapani, out of which 6 are unidentified. They were found to be violating the rules of Fertilizer Control Order by trading illegal fertilizers which is punishable.
Illegal transportation of DAP fertilizer
Regarding this, a case was registered by the Agricultural Development Officer at Orchha Road police station under Section 3, 8, and 19 of Fertilizer Control Order 1985 and Section 3/7 of the Essential Commodities Act 1955 and Section 318, 3 (5) of the Indian Justice Aid 2023. An investigation has been conducted in which 460 bags of DAP fertilizer were being transported illegally. Its price is Rs 6 lakh 21 thousand.
SDM Akhil Rathore said that after receiving the information late in the night, a team was formed and a raid was carried out on the spot. In which it was found that a truck from Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh was carrying 460 bags of DAP.
They were being supplied in village Kalapani of Chhatarpur. The fertilizer sack along with the truck was seized on the spot. Also, the agriculture officer says that probably the DAP in the truck is fake.
