Wheat prices fall by Rs 150 after sowing in Madhya Pradesh

Farmers in Madhya Pradesh got good prices for wheat throughout the year. Even now 3 thousand bags of wheat are coming for sale daily in the agricultural market auction. However, the arrival of polished wheat has reduced. More Gajjar, Mill and hard wheat is coming.

This year, the area under sowing of wheat has increased in Ujjain district. Sowing has been done in about 4.50 lakh hectares. Seeds have been sown in 90 percent of the fields. After sowing, there was a decline in wheat prices by about Rs 150 per quintal. Due to adequate rainfall in Malwa, farmers have given priority to sowing wheat.

Gram has been sown in only 10 thousand hectares. The area under wheat has increased to 4.50 lakh hectares. Till last week, the prices of wheat and seeds were very high due to the huge demand. Shining wheat was being sold at Rs 3500 per quintal, but as soon as the demand for seed wheat ended, the price declined by about Rs 150.

Because the demand is weak in the country. Mill quality prices have also reduced. Sales of flour, raiwaai and maida, the products of flour millers, have also reduced. This year till now the price of wheat has increased by Rs 500 to Rs 600 per quintal. Stockists got stock of wheat in abundance.

More sowing of high yielding wheat

According to farmers, this time more wheat of high yielding variety was sown. However, this wheat is sold at a much lower price than the Lokvan, Purna and Sharbati varieties of wheat produced. According to the farmers, now due to adequate availability of water in every area, sowing of Nutri, Malvaraj, Tejas and 513 varieties has been done.

Compared to other types. This time also the demand for wheat seeds of this quality was high. There has been tremendous growth in this wheat from season to off season.

Let us tell you that the Central Government has less stock of wheat. In such a situation, these lines have not been able to sell wheat under the open sale scheme for the last 6 months. Poor consumers are also being fed rice instead of wheat.

In such a situation, the price of wheat remained very high till last month, but the government has imposed stock limit. Due to this fear, flour plants and big stockists started selling their stock, while the buying is weak. As a result there was a recession this week.
