Preparations for counting of votes in Vijaypur and Budhni assembly constituencies completed

Under the Assembly by-election-2024, the counting of votes for Assembly Constituency No. 02 Vijaypur of Sheopur district and Assembly Constituency No. 156 of Sehore district will start on Saturday, November 23 at 8 am. All arrangements for counting of votes have been made in both the assembly constituencies. Collectors and District Election Officers, Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers have been instructed to strictly follow all security parameters for counting of votes.

16 tables will be installed for counting of votes in Vijaypur Assembly.

Counting of votes for Vijaypur Assembly will take place at Government Polytechnic College, Sheopur. In 327 polling stations of this assembly constituency 16 tables will be installed to count the votes cast by voters in EVMs. Counting of votes will be conducted in 21 rounds.

14-14 tables will be set up for counting of votes in Budhni Assembly.

Counting of votes for Budhni assembly constituency will be held at Government Women Polytechnic College, Sehore. In 363 polling stations of this assembly constituency, 14 tables each will be installed in two rooms for counting the votes cast by voters in EVMs. Counting of votes will be conducted in 13 rounds.

Three-tier security arrangement will be in place at the counting venue

Three-tier security arrangements have been ensured at the counting venue. Only persons with authorized authorization letters will be able to enter. No unauthorized person will be able to enter the counting centre. There will be three-tier randomization of counting personnel.

There will be a counting supervisor, a counting assistant, a counting staff and a micro observer at each counting table. Appropriate number of counting staff will complete the counting of votes.

Will be able to take these materials inside the counting hall

Inside the counting hall, blank paper, copy of ballot accounting form 17C Part-1, list of EVMs and VVPATs provided by the returning officer to the candidate, election agent, counting agent, list of EVMs and VVPATs used in various polling stations and plastic Carrying pen or pencil will be allowed.

This content will remain banned

Mobile phones, iPads, laptops, smart watches, cameras, other electronic devices, beedis, cigarettes and gutkha will be banned in the counting hall. No one will be allowed to carry mobile phone in the counting hall. Only RO, ARO, Counting Supervisors who are associated with ETPBMS/INCORE will be able to carry mobile phone only for OTP to open ETPBMS/INCORE.
