A unique coincidence is going to happen in the history of Madhya Pradesh Police Department on 30th November. When the police department will be bidding farewell to state DGP Sudhir Kumar Saxena, the commander of that farewell parade will be none other than his daughter.
DCP daughter will become parade commander
Actually, the tenure of Madhya Pradesh DGP Sudhir Kumar Saxena is ending on 30th November. Sudhir Kumar Saxena is retiring after completing his tenure of about 32 months. His farewell parade will be held at Motilal Nehru Stadium. In the farewell parade of DGP to be held at 4 pm, his daughter Sonakshi Saxena will take over the responsibility of parade commander.

Let us tell you that Sonakshi is an IPS officer and is currently posted as DCP Intelligence in Bhopal. Let us tell you that when a serving DGP retires, the farewell parade is like the parade on 15th August and 26th January.
Became DGP two years ago
The 30th Director General of Police of the state, Sudhir Kumar Saxena, is an 87 batch Indian Police Service officer. He took charge of this post on March 4, 2022 after the retirement of former DGP Vivek Johri. During his tenure, national level seminars on cyber were organized and police took action in Naxal affected districts.
His tenure as DGP is going to be completed on 30 November 2024. The state police is making preparations for a grand farewell ceremony for the retirement of the DGP. Police practice for the guard of honor will start from next Monday. In this, a grand parade will be organized and the DGP will be given the parade salute along with the guard of honour.
DGP Saxena is of Gwalior origin.
DGP Sudhir Saxena is originally a resident of Gwalior. His daughter Sonakshi Saxena is posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police Intelligence in Bhopal. Earlier, she has worked as Assistant Commissioner of Police in Indore and Assistant Superintendent of Police in Jabalpur along with Additional Superintendent of Police.
