National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) announced the successful completion of Bharatpur Skills Mahotsav. Along with this, appointment letters were given to more than 2,400 youth. These offer letters were given by big companies of the corporate world. Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Ministry of Education, presided over the event in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, where he handed over job letters to the successful selected candidates.

“The mega recruitment drive witnessed an overwhelming response from the corporate sector with over 70 industry leaders registering their participation,” an official statement said. “Major employers including e-commerce giants Flipkart and Zepto, global food chain Burger King and premium dining brand Barbecue Nation along with other leading companies presented over 20,000 job opportunities at Bharatpur Skills Mahotsav.”

These selected candidates will be given a salary ranging from Rs 19,000 to Rs 35,000 per month. Companies from sectors like tourism, hospitality, logistics, food-processing, IT-ITES, auto, BFSI and electronics were involved in the recruitment drive. The Minister of State stressed the importance of community participation in effectively implementing skill development schemes in Bharatpur.

He highlighted the collaborative efforts of NSDC and MSDE to attract pro-industry policies through State Investment Summits, thereby opening up opportunities for youth in remote areas. Addressing the gathering, he stressed on enhancing skills through platforms like Skill India Digital Hub and JobX.

“Today, the companies present here are offering jobs in the surrounding areas, thus providing an important opportunity for the youth of Bharatpur,” he said. The Minister of State said, “Inspired by the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘lifelong education’, we are all focusing on further improving the education and employment sector.” Last month, more than 3,500 youth from Bharatpur registered on the Skill India Digital Hub and participated in a five-day job-readiness programme. During this program, training was given on soft skills, role-specific capabilities such as assembly line operation and customer care skills.

The ‘Job Readiness Programme’ culminated with the Mega Recruitment Fair – Skill Mahotsav, in which more than 3,000 youth appeared for walk-in interviews. The objective of the ‘Job Readiness Programme’ was to increase employment opportunities for the youth of Bharatpur and to establish the district as a skilled workforce development hub.
