They went.
Let us tell you that Pandit Pramod Tiwari of Raj Kalika Temple had closed the doors of the temple at 9 pm on Monday night as usual and went home. After this, when he reached the temple this morning, the lock of the temple was broken and the door was open. When they went inside and saw, the lock of the sanctum sanctorum of the temple was also broken and a trident was found lying near the gate. On entering inside the temple, the crown and nose ring of the idol of Mata Kali and other ornaments like crowns and other deities were found missing. After discovering the theft in the temple, the priest of the temple immediately informed the Pali police about the incident, after which the police reached the spot and called a sniffer dog to catch the thief. During this time, searching was done around the temple, then an empty donation box was found at some distance behind the temple. The value of the crown and jewelery stolen from the temple is said to be around Rs 2 lakh.
Theft incidents have increased in the last 3 months
It is noteworthy that incidents of small and big thefts have been happening in the Pali area in the last 3 months, earlier thieves used to target houses and offices. Now thieves have started cleaning their hands in the temple also. Continuous thefts have given sleepless nights to the common people. At the same time, the hands of the police are still empty, due to which the morale of the thieves is high.
