Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that India has a glorious past and India has been the main center of higher education at the global level since ancient times. Students and princes from many countries studied in universities of India like Takshashila, Nalanda. But historically we do not find any such mention in which any person or ruler who received education in India attacked any other state. This fact reflects the strong life values and moral values of our education system which has been running since ancient times. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the 17th conference of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific at Hotel Taj on Tuesday. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.
Many events from past to present occurred due to difference of attitude towards life values.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this conference organized on the topic “Changing nature of higher education and our life values” is of contemporary importance. Many incidents from past to present happened as a result of differences in outlook towards life values. Be it Ravana in the Ramayana period or Kauravas in the Mahabharata period, no one was less in ability and capability, but their life values and moral values were not proper, that is why they never got respect and they were always rejected in the society and history. Karna’s abilities were amazing, but his vision, vengeance, stubbornness and negative emotions led him to his downfall. We also get similar examples of Ravana who built Lanka of gold. Despite having all kinds of glory and power, he was never accepted and on the basis of moral values, the forest dweller Shri Ram defeated him. That is, it was the victory of moral values and life values.
Many innovations are being implemented through the new education policy.
Referring to the Russia-Ukraine war and Israel conflict, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is the result of our ideals and life values that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seen making efforts for peace even in these conflicts. This shows the strength of Indian values of life. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that through the new education policy implemented from the year 2020, students have been provided the facility to study subjects of various faculties by making the process of reading and learning more flexible, simple and interesting. Innovations like freeing the study process from age restrictions and providing credit have also been made in the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav invited the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific to expand its activities in Madhya Pradesh.
Committed to providing global level education in the country itself
Jagran Lake City University Chancellor Harimohan Gupta said that the conference of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific, spread over 35 countries, is being held in India for the first time. The association is committed to providing global level education to the students in the country by establishing global institutions focused on higher education and skill development in Madhya Pradesh. On this occasion, Principal Secretary Higher Education Anupam Rajan, educationist Anup Swaroop and representatives of various universities and subject experts were present.
