Yesterday, on the instructions of the Collector, a joint team of Mineral and Revenue Department sealed the illegal crusher operating on government land in village Panari, Tehsil Khadgwa. It is known that the work of stone crushing was being done by the contractor Shivani Construction Ambikapur by installing a crusher without valid permission on the government land Khasra No. 1109, area 1.81 hectare land, item small tree forest, located in Village Panari, Tehsil Khadgawan.
This was complained by the villagers. After coming to notice, immediate action has been taken by the Mineral and Revenue Department. During the action, about 14 tractor trolley boulders and ballast were found to be stored in the illegally established crusher area and about 6300 cubic meters of soil and mud were also found to be illegally excavated by Shivani Construction. Due to which a case of illegal excavation has been registered under the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act 1957.
On the spot, the crusher has been sealed under the Chhattisgarh Mineral (Mining, Transport and Storage) Rules 2009. Along with this, due to the case of encroachment on the government land of small bush item without permission, the electricity connection of the crusher has been disconnected by the Revenue Department. The generator, panel and motor compressor machine installed at the site have been confiscated and removed from the spot and kept in Koda police post for security.
Shashi Shekhar Mishra Tehsildar Khadgawan, Aditya Mankar Mineral Inspector, Patwari Suraj Kumar, Police Department Electricity Department, Kotwar and other villagers were involved in the proceedings.
