Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has given instructions for better treatment of constable Shiv Kumar Sharma who was seriously injured in the encounter between police and Naxalites in Balaghat district. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has instructed senior officials for better treatment of Sharma. He said that the entire amount spent on the treatment of the injured soldier will be given by the state government.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also discussed on telephone with the doctors treating the injured jawan Sharma. Dr. Yadav said that Sharma, a Hawk-Force team soldier deployed on duty, was seriously injured in the firing. Presently he is undergoing treatment in Gondia, Maharashtra. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has wished for the speedy recovery of the courageous constable Sharma.
In the anti-Naxal operation, on Sunday 17th November, while conducting a special operation in the Kundul Pahari forest area, the police party Hawk-Force SOG Ukwa was fired upon by armed Naxalites in uniform, whose number was between 12 to 15, after seeing the police. The security forces also retaliated against the Naxalite group without caring for their lives. An intensive search operation is going on by the security forces to nab the Naxalites who fled from the spot. Crimes have been registered under various sections against Naxalites in Rupjhar police station.
