Puneet Pradhan, a resident of Kumhari of Marwahi police station area, told the police that he had cheated Rs 12 lakh in the name of getting a job in the Railways, the amount of which was taken in different installments during the nine-month training in Asansol. When the fraud was revealed, the applicant was shocked because his entire training and every person who trained him turned out to be fake. As soon as he realized the fraud, Puneet contacted the police and registered a crime in Marwahi police station. Marwahi police had earlier also arrested three more accused with the help of cyber cell. In this, one youth, Amit Mandal, used to give training, while Vidhan Bairagi and Yogesh Rajak used to send youth to Asansol by luring them at the local level. Their leader Kapil Baranwal was absconding and changing the location. As soon as the main accused came to Asansol, Marwahi police got information on which, in coordination with SP Bhavna Gupta, with the help of Inspector Kaushik Kundu of Asansol Police, Sub Inspector Shyamlal Garhwal, Assistant Sub Inspector Manoj Hanotia and Principal Constable Ajay Singh arrested Kapil Baranwal in Asansol. Accused Kapil was also on bail in Asansol in the case of roaming around posing as a fake police officer.

Accused on transit remand

Marwahi police said that after obtaining transit remand of the accused, he was taken to Marwahi and kept on police remand, where on interrogation and investigation by DSP Cyber ​​Deepak Mishra police station in-charge Ranchhod Singh Sengar, sub-inspector Shyamlal Garhwal and cyber cell unit Manoj Hanotia, it was found that the accused Kapil Baranwal’s wife Pooja Halder is a make-up artist through whom Kapil has contact with many people who are involved in cheating for him. Used to play characters like sometimes someone would become an RPF man and someone would become a health worker. During interrogation, accused Kapil told that he has failed in eighth class and he used to do all this to live a luxury life. During interrogation, action is being taken on the basis of information received about the role and names and addresses of other gang members.
