Surekha Sikri married Hemant Rige in 1994, but her husband died on 20 October 2009. He has a son Rahul who is an artist.
In 2018, when Surekha was shooting in Mahabaleshwar, she suffered a brain stroke after slipping in the bathroom. He suffered a brain stroke for the second time in 2020 and finally said goodbye to the world on 16 July 2021 after a heart attack.
