Famous ski resort Gulmarg and Gurez valley in north Kashmir received fresh snowfall this morning, while the weather department predicted improvement in the weather from the afternoon. Giving information, an official said that Gulmarg has received one inch of snowfall since morning, while Gurez Valley has also received snowfall. Director of Meteorological Department, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed said that the weather condition in Jammu and Kashmir will improve from afternoon.
He said that the weather is likely to be generally dry from November 17 to 23, while there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in the higher reaches on November 24. The Meteorological Department has also issued an advisory, asking tourists, trekkers and travelers to plan accordingly.
