A bonsai exhibition is being organized from today till November 17 in the rose garden located on Link Road number one in the capital. This three-day exhibition, organized under the aegis of Bhopal Lake City Bonsai Association, will showcase unique replicas of more than four hundred bonsai plants.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by State Sports and Youth Welfare and Cooperation Minister Vishwas Sarang on November 15 at 4 pm, while the program will be presided over by Horticulture and Food Processing Minister Narayan Singh Kushwaha. A workshop on Bonsai will also be organized in the exhibition. The exhibition will be open on November 16 and 17 from 11 am to 8 pm.
In a press conference held at Bhojpur Club, Arundhati Tiwari, founder member of Bhopal Lake City Bonsai Association, said that Indonesia’s bonsai experts Yayat Hidayat, Adhitya Aji Pamungkas as well as Soumik Das New Delhi, Anupama Vadechala Bengaluru, Govind Raj Hyderabad etc. have introduced bonsai lovers to this genre. Will inform you about the details. People of Bhopal associated with Bonsai for more than 40 years will display their old collections.
Decades old plants will be displayed
He said that 50 to 55 year old trees of Jade, Madhukamini, Ficus, Buddha Peepal will be especially displayed in the exhibition. These will be given special shape in big pots. Association President JN Bindra said that workshops and sessions will also be organized during this period, in which participants will be given tips on caring for bonsai, ways to control the size of trees and maintaining them in the right shape. A special session has also been organized on the history and development of Bonsai art.
