Khandva
These days, there is abundant arrival of maize in Khandwa agricultural produce market of Madhya Pradesh. The arrival of maize has broken the records of the last several years. From April to November this year, the purchase of maize has crossed 50 thousand tonnes. The arrival of produce can be gauged from the fact that farmers have to reach the market a day earlier. After numbering of tractor-trolleys through token system, the produce is being weighed on the second day. This time, farmers from other districts including Khandwa are also reaching the market to sell maize.
On Thursday, 25 to 30 thousand quintals of maize arrived in the agricultural produce market. The auction started at 10:30 am and continued till evening.
