Today the country is celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of the great tribal warrior Lord Birsa Munda, who fought against the British for the survival, water, forests and land of the tribals. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has named this special day, November 15, as National Tribal Pride Day. The event is being organized as per his wish for the last many years, today many programs were organized in Madhya Pradesh regarding this, PM Modi also virtually inaugurated two tribal museums of Madhya Pradesh.

Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav participated in the program organized in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda. CM said that it is our good fortune that Lord Birsa Munda had fought against the conspiracies of the British even before the freedom struggle of 1857. He understood and fought to secure the rights of water, forest and land for all of us, he raised the tribals to fight, not only this he also fought against the conversion of Christian missionaries, the contribution of such a great man can never be appreciated. Cannot be forgotten.

The Chief Minister said that the countrymen knew about the struggle of Lord Birsa Munda but did not accept it. If anyone has done the work of making the tribals proud in the true sense on 15th November, then our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done it. It is because of him that today the people of the country are remembering Birsa Munda. We have come to know about Munda’s struggle, his penance and his contribution to the country.

Governor gave social message regarding sickle cell

Governor Mangubhai Patel, who participated in the program, laid special emphasis on sickle cell. He said that till now 82 lakh people have been tested by the government and those who are left will also be tested soon. Giving a social message, he said that if You are marrying two boys and girls, get both of them tested, if they have sickle cell then do not marry at all otherwise the child will also be born a victim, that is why we need awareness about sickle cell. He also told the officials that there should be a lot of attention on sickle cell. Need to pay attention.
PM Modi inaugurated two museums

In this special event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated two Tribal Freedom Fighters Museums of Madhya Pradesh, one of which is Shri Badal Bhoi Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum, Chhindwara and the other is Raja Shankar Shah and Raghunath Shah Freedom Fighters Museum, Jabalpur, in these museums, things related to the lifestyle of the tribal society, their struggle, their folk tradition have been displayed so that the new generation can know it.
