Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plane suffered a technical glitch on Friday in Deoghar, Jharkhand. The plane will now have to stay at the airport until the technical fault is rectified. Another plane is being sent from Delhi to Deoghar, due to which the PM is getting delayed in returning to the capital. Earlier, Prime Minister Modi visited Ulihatu village of Jharkhand, the birthplace of Lord Birsa Munda and offered floral tributes at his statue. Modi is the first Prime Minister to visit Ulihatu village, the birthplace of Lord Birsa Munda.

The Prime Minister said in a tweet that he had the privilege of paying obeisance to Lord Birsa Munda ji in his village Ulihatu. Coming here I realized how much energy this holy land is filled with. Every particle of this soil is inspiring my family members across the country. Modi, the first Prime Minister to visit Ulihatu, was warmly welcomed by the local people who danced to the tune of traditional instruments like Dhol and Mandar. After paying floral tributes at the statue of Birsa Munda, Modi recalled his contribution in the freedom struggle. Describing the soil of Birsa Munda’s birthplace as sacred, the Prime Minister also applied Tilak on it.

The Prime Minister addressed two rallies in Jharkhand on Friday ahead of the second round of voting on November 20, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of tribal icon Birsa Munda. In his rallies, PM Modi fiercely targeted Congress and Rahul Gandhi. The Prime Minister accused Rahul Gandhi of hatching a conspiracy to end reservations to weaken people from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Class (OBC) communities.

On the other hand, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s helicopter stood for 45 minutes in Godda, Jharkhand, 80 km from Deoghar, waiting for approval from ATC. The Congress claimed that the delay was deliberate to disrupt the program of the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha. Congress had pointed to the PM’s rally near Deoghar and suggested that their program was being given priority over Gandhi’s. Rahul Gandhi’s helicopter was allowed to take off after 45 minutes.
