During the Maharashtra Assembly election campaign, Kanhaiya Kumar has made controversial remarks on the wife of Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis. Kanhaiya Kumar said that Deputy CM’s wife will make a reel on Instagram and we will save religion, this will not happen. A heated controversy has started on this statement of Kanhaiya Kumar and BJP has attacked. BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala said that when will we get freedom from such thinking. When will Congress get freedom from such petty people? He said that a person who supports terrorists and Naxalites has made extremely derogatory remarks about the daughter of Maharashtra.
While campaigning for the Congress candidate in Nagpur, Kanhaiya Kumar had said, ‘If this is a religious war and it is a question of saving religion. Any leader who gives you a speech to save religion, ask him a question whether your sons and daughters will also join us in this fight. It won’t happen that it is our responsibility to save the religion and it is your children’s responsibility to study in Oxford and Cambridge. If religion has to be saved then everyone will save it together. It will not happen that we will save religion and Deputy CM Sahib’s wife will make a reel on Instagram.
In fact, last week, while campaigning, Devendra Fadnavis had said that the opposition is doing vote jihad and to counter it we will have to wage a religious war. It is believed that Kanhaiya made the comment while replying to it, but spoke controversially. Now attacking them, Poonawala said that Naxalites and Afzal Guru supporters have insulted Marathi women. He said that insulting Amrita Fadnavis is misbehavior with every woman of Maharashtra. He said that the public will teach a lesson to those who talk about rejected goods and imported goods.
