In the National Education Policy 2020, emphasis has been laid on upgrading the 21st century skills of students. For this, Continuous and Comprehensive Learning and Evolution (CCLE) program has been included in the Bal Sabha every week on Saturday in the government high schools and higher secondary schools of the state. The objective of this program is to enable students to get education in a joyful environment and play their role in nation building as active citizens.

In the CCLE programme, various co-scholastic and co-curricular focused programs are being organized throughout the year through continuing and comprehensive education in schools. Last year, 600 teachers from across the state were trained by the School Education Department. Teachers trained as master trainers gave training to 2 selected teachers in each district. In this way, about 14 thousand 250 teachers were trained in the state. The emphasis of internal assessment on the activities of the students has also been ensured. During Bal Sabha period, both teachers and students are participating in learning activities in a joyful environment. Through this, students acquire the abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Activities under skill

During the Bal Sabha period, students are being made to write essays, newspaper writing, stories, poems, drama writing and producing annual magazines. Along with this, activities like debate, story, poetry reading, interview practice, logical ability, shape test, music, dance, painting, craft, sculpture are being conducted prominently. A provision has also been made to give marks to the students involved in these activities on the basis of their attendance. According to the calendar of the year, among the topics decided, the main ones are health, traffic rules, healthy routine, yoga, sports and diet. Along with this, Indian history, texts of great personalities, India’s freedom struggle have been included in the subject of Glorious India. The Prakhar Bharat theme covers Indian science, environment, disaster management and scientific approach. Students are also being given detailed information about the provisions of the Constitution, parliamentary system, national emblem, Panchayati Raj and constitutional rights of citizens in the Bal Sabha.
