The process of recruitment to one lakh government posts in the state will start from January 2025. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has asked all the ministers to personally look into this work and ensure the process within the time limit, while Chief Secretary Anurag Jain has sought information about vacant posts from all the departments.
At present there are about seven lakh regular employees in the state. Due to non-fillment of vacant posts, departments are running the work through outsourced or contract employees. The quality of work is also being affected by this. In view of this, the Chief Minister has decided to fill the vacant posts on priority.
Information sought about vacant posts
The Chief Secretary’s office has issued a letter to all the departments asking for information about the vacant posts in 2024. It has also been asked that how many posts of which category were recruited till August 2022. Whether their results have been released or not and whether the selected candidates have taken charge or not. How many posts of which cadre will become vacant by 31 March 2025. When was the approval taken for recruitment by sending the proposal to the Finance Department.
The target is to start recruitment by the end of 2025.
According to the report, the Chief Secretary has also asked all the departments to share the information as to how many posts of associates will become vacant by March 31, 2024 and when the approval for recruitment was taken by sending the proposal to the Finance Department. It is known that planning has been done to start the recruitment process from January itself, the aim is to start the recruitment by the end of the year 2025.
On the other hand, the Chief Secretary has also held a meeting with the officials of the State Public Service Commission and the Staff Selection Board regarding the recruitment process. Sources say that the government will start the recruitment process from January. The goal is that recruitment should start by the end of 2025.
Provision will be made in Budget 2025-26
Here, information is coming out that the process of budget for the year 2025-26 has also started. In this, provision will be made for the salaries and allowances of the employees. Budget provision will be made according to the recruitment of one lakh posts.
