  • Arshdeep Singh took 92 wickets in his 59th International T20 match. Whereas Bhuvneshwar Kumar had taken 90 wickets in 87 matches. Chahal remains at the top of this list with 96 wickets in 80 matches.
  • In this matter, Arshdeep Singh has left even Jasprit Bumrah behind. Bumrah has taken 89 wickets in 70 matches so far. New Zealand’s team Saudi is at the top in the list with 164 wickets.

India batted first in Centurion. This was the third consecutive time in the series when South Africa won the toss and put India to bat. Team India scored 219 runs by losing 6 wickets in 20 overs.

For India, Tilak Verma scored unbeaten 107 runs (56 balls, 8 fours, 7 sixes) and opener Abhishek Sharma played brilliant innings of 50 runs (25 balls, 3 fours, 5 sixes). In reply, the host team could score only 208 runs at the loss of 7 wickets.

Arshdeep Singh bowled brilliantly. He opened his account by taking the wicket of Ryan Rickelton in the powerplay. Arshdeep got good help from the new ball on the bounce-rich SuperSport Park pitch and he took advantage of it.

Even with the old ball, Arshdeep performed brilliantly and showed the way to the pavilion to Heinrich Klaasen (44 runs in 22 balls) and Marco Johnson (54 runs in 17 balls), who were looking like a threat.
