A similar accident happened in Pakistan on Tuesday. A bus became victim of a horrific accident in Pakistan on Tuesday. This bus accident happened with a bus full of passengers in Diamer district of Gilgit-Baltistan, when the bus fell into the Indus River. The people traveling in the bus were going from Astore district of Gilgit-Baltistan province to Chakwal district of Punjab to attend a wedding.

26 people died
Sixteen people died before a bus carrying passengers traveling to attend a wedding fell into the Indus river in Diamer district of Pakistan’s Gilgit-Baltistan on Tuesday. Efforts were made to save other passengers on the bus, but now the death toll has increased to 26. The bride and groom are also among those who died. The search for 12 people who died is still going on, but they are presumed dead.

What caused the accident?
According to the information, this bus accident occurred due to overspeeding. The bus was going at a very high speed and due to this it lost control and fell into the river. The driver tried hard to control the bus, but he could not avert the accident.

According to officials, the accident occurred due to speeding of the bus. The driver had lost control of the bus. The bus was part of a wedding procession headed towards Chakwal district of Pakistan. She fell into the river from Telchi bridge on the border of Diamer district.
President Asif Ali Zardari expressed condolences

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari expressed condolences on the accident. He asked the rescue workers to intensify efforts to find the missing passengers. Let us tell you that due to poor infrastructure and ignorance of traffic laws and safety standards, road accidents are common in Pakistan. Here in August, 36 people were killed and dozens of others were injured in two separate bus accidents.
