Once again a similar case has come to light from Gwalior, where thugs digitally arrested retired Narcotics Department officer Rakesh Gupta and his wife. For this, cyber thugs had given the pretext of registering 17 CAS names in the credit card money laundering case of Rakesh Gupta. Posing as a CBI officer, he frightened the couple so much that they did not tell anything to anyone.

Rakesh Gupta, a retired narcotics officer living in the city, received a voice call on WhatsApp from an unknown number on the morning of 10 November. In which the accused asked to talk to CBI Headquarters. After this, retired narcotics Rakesh Gupta and his wife were digitally arrested by the thugs and CBI officer. After this, he threatened to confiscate the property in case of money laundering.
To scare, cyber thugs even pretended to issue a warrant from the Supreme Court. The thugs demanded money in return from the retired narcotics officer. When Rakesh Kumar Gupta became suspicious, he along with his wife reached Gwalior Cyber Cell to complain about the incident. Where he told the whole thing to the police. After this, the police have registered the case and started investigating the matter.
