Maheshwar
“Nimar Utsav” will be organized from Kartik Purnima on the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Ahilya Bai in Maheshwar, a historical and glorious famous tourist destination of Khargone district of West Nimar. This will take place from 15 November to 17 November 2024. All necessary preparations are being made to make this event grand and ensure participation of maximum number of people in it.
Cultural programs will be organized every day from 7 pm in the three-day Nimar Utsav organized in November. A seminar will be organized every day from 8:30 am in the Narmada Resort auditorium. The three-day Nimar Utsav will begin on November 15 with the musical aarti of Mother Narmada by Dinesh Sharma of Ujjain and famous playback singer Sudesh Bhosale. During this time, in the evening, soft music will be presented by Mumbai’s famous playback singer Sudesh Bhosle and his friends.
On Saturday 16th November at 07 PM, “Lokkanth” will be presented by Manisha Shastri, Rakhi Banke, Sonali Dhakse, Vikas Shukla and fellow artists under Nimadi singing. Presentation of Gangaur dance by Sadhna Upadhyay and colleagues of Khandwa, presentation of Karma dance of Baiga tribe by Dayaram and colleagues of Dindori, presentation of Chhau dance by Srishti Ghar Mahato of Ranchi and fellow artists, presentation of Bhangra and Malwai Gidda dance by Manendra Singh of Patiala. And by fellow artists and presentation of Gotipua dance will be given by Chandramani Pradhan and fellow artists of Orissa.
On Sunday 17th November, Kathi dance will be presented by Ramdas Sakalle and his friends of Harsud, Gutumbaja dance will be presented by Lekhpal Dhurve and friends of Dindori. After this, Hariom Panwar of Meerut, Mukesh Bholwa of Indore, Shambhu Shikhar of Delhi, Shyam Sundar Palod of Indore, Dr. Shriram Parihar of Khandwa, Vijay Shitanshu of Maheshwar, Harish Dubey, Vishnu Phagana, Jagdish Joshila of Gogawan, Virendra Chaure of Pandhana. Poetry will be recited by Deepak Pagare of Sanawad, Narendra Joshi of Khargone, Vijay Sharma of Khalghat.
Various sports competitions will be held during Nimar Utsav
Various types of sports activities will be organized during the three-day Nimar Utsav. A rally will be organized from 08 am on November 15 from Utkrisht Vidyalaya Maheshwar to Ahilya Ghat. Along with this, Kabaddi competition for boys category will be held at 09 am in the excellent school Maheshwar, boat decorating competition at Devi Ahilya Ghat from 03 pm onwards, self defense demonstration for women from 06 pm onwards. On November 16, a wrestling competition for boys and girls will be organized at the School of Excellence, Maheshwar from 10 am and a Mehndi competition will be organized at Devi Ahilya Ghat from 12 noon. On 17th November, Kabaddi competition will be organized for girls category at 09 am in the morning and Rangoli competition will be organized from 02 pm in the afternoon at Excellent School, Maheshwar.
