As soon as the festival season ends, the Railways is starting the work on the tracks again. In the same sequence, due to yard modification work to connect Karkeli station of Bilaspur division with the third railway line, Railways has canceled 16 trains including Nauvatna, Bilaspur-Rewa, Durg-Kanpur Express. Due to this, passengers will have to face trouble for four days from 16th November to 19th November.
According to the information received from the Railway Board, work is being done continuously on many projects in South East Central Railway. In this series, the third railway line between Bilaspur-Katni is an important and busy railway route, which connects this entire region to North India.
Along with making the safe operation of trains more smooth, new lines are being constructed to run new trains. This will increase new passenger facilities along with development in infrastructure. Working in this direction, construction work of third line is being done between Bilaspur and Katni.
New railway line being built at a cost of Rs 1680 crore
The work of connecting Karkeli railway station of Bilaspur-Katni section with the third line will start from November 17. Construction of a total of 165.52 km railway line in Anuppur-Katni section at a cost of Rs 1680 crore is going on at a fast pace. So far, 101.40 km railway line work has been completed in this section. As soon as this work is completed, passengers will be able to reach their destination in less time due to increase in the speed of trains.
