The prices of gold and silver have been increasing rapidly since last two months. On September 2, the price of 24 carat gold per 10 grams was Rs 73 thousand 95, which increased by more than eight thousand rupees to Rs 81 thousand on November 1. Whereas silver, which was sold at Rs 85 thousand 500 per kg, has increased by Rs 11 thousand and reached Rs 98 thousand on November 1.
The prices of gold and silver are increasing rapidly. Gold and silver prices kept increasing due to profit booking on the high prices of gold and silver in the futures market. Due to settlement of deals in the futures market in the month of October, a slight decrease is also being seen in November.
Navneet Kumar Aggarwal, General Secretary of Bhopal Bullion Association, said that due to the increase in the prices of gold and silver, the bullion business will be affected by 15 percent during the marriage auspicious time starting from Devuthani Gyaras on November 12.
After Diwali, now preparations for marriage auspicious times
On Dhanteras and Diwali, there was a rain of money in all the small and big bullion markets including the city square, New Market, Sant Hirdaram Nagar. Now businessmen have started preparing for the auspicious time of marriage starting from Dev Uthani Gyaras on 12th November. Due to high prices of gold and silver, bullion traders are giving orders to artisans to make light jewelery for the bride.
Diwali festival ends with Bhaidooj
Meanwhile, Bhai Dooj was celebrated across the country on Sunday, marking the end of the five-day festival of lights. The festival of Bhai Dooj was celebrated with tradition and enthusiasm. On this occasion, sisters applied tilak on the forehead of brothers and performed aarti. The brothers also took a pledge to protect their sisters and presented them gifts.
It is noteworthy that the festival of Bhaidooj is celebrated on the second day of Kartik Shukla Paksha. It is also called Yama Dwitiya, because on this day Yamraj reached the house of his sister Yamuna. Sisters especially wait for this festival. According to religious beliefs, on this day sisters pray to God for the long life, happiness and well-being of their brothers and apply tilak on them.
