Umri police station of the district has completed the investigation into the blind murder of a woman that took place last month. The police have also arrested one accused. The accused has also admitted to murdering the woman after raping her. At the behest of the accused, the police have also seized the remains of the deceased along with her clothes from the incident site.

According to the information, a 50-year-old woman living in Umri police station area had left home on October 5, 2024. The woman used to worship more, the woman had to go to Shanichara temple to worship. During this, the accused deceived the woman and took her from Umri to Malanpur.

According to the police, the accused took the woman to Shanichara forest. The woman was threatened and raped in the forest. After this, he was crushed to death with a stone and returned back to the village. When the woman did not come home the next day, her relatives lodged a missing complaint at Umri police station on the evening of October 6.
The woman lived alone at home
Relatives say that the woman’s husband and son live in Ahmedabad. She lived alone in the village. The woman used to do puja more, whereas the accused Munna Joshi is a resident of Ambah district Morena. The accused used to guard the well of Narendra Singh Rajawat of Chakra village.
