On the occasion of Diwali, Madhya Pradesh government has decided to give October salary to the employees on 28th October. Contract and outsourced employees will also get advance salary. However, no decision has been taken on advance pension for more than four lakh pensioners. Pensioners Association is demanding pension before Diwali.
In view of Diwali, the state government has decided to pay October salaries to the employees from October 28 (Monday). For this, salary bills have been raised by the departments in the treasury. Contract and outsourced employees will also be given advance salary like regular employees.
On the other hand, no decision has been taken regarding giving advance pension to more than four lakh pensioners. Pensioners Association is also demanding pension before Diwali. A decision on this is also expected on Monday.
more than seven lakh employees
There are more than seven lakh regular officers and employees in the state. Everyone gets salary on the first date. In view of Diwali festival on 31st October, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has decided to pay salaries on 28th October only. According to this, the Finance Department has instructed all the departments to submit salary bills in the treasury in time.
Advance salary to contract and outsourced workers also
Departmental officials say that all local bodies, public undertakings, universities and other institutions have also been asked to take decisions regarding giving advance salary keeping in view their financial condition. There is a preparation to give advance salary to contractual and outsourced employees also.
On the other hand, Ganesh Dutt Joshi, patron of Pensioners Welfare Association, says that pensioners are being discriminated against for a long time. There is a delay in giving dearness relief and no decision is being taken even on giving arrears.
