Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra filed her nomination papers for the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election on Wednesday. During this period he disclosed assets worth approximately Rs 12 crore. Priyanka, who is contesting her first election from Wayanad in Kerala, has given information about movable assets worth more than Rs 4.24 crore in her election affidavit. According to Priyanka’s affidavit, her liquid assets include savings accounts worth Rs 3.6 lakh in three banks, mutual fund investments worth Rs 2.24 crore and PPF deposits worth Rs 17.38 lakh. Apart from this, she also mentioned a Honda CRV car worth Rs 8 lakh and jewelery worth Rs 1.44 crore, gifted by her husband Robert Vadra.

The total value of his immovable properties is more than Rs 7.74 crore, which includes inherited agricultural land in Mehrauli, Delhi. His brother Rahul Gandhi also has a share in this agricultural land, which is worth Rs 2.1 crore. Among the immovable properties, Priyanka has also mentioned a house worth Rs 5.63 crore that she bought herself in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. He has also disclosed income of Rs 46.39 lakh which includes rental income, interest from banks and other investments.

The total value of properties of Priyanka’s husband Robert Vadra is more than Rs 64 crore. His liquid assets include deposits in several banks, shares in public companies, mutual fund investments, a Toyota Land Cruiser SUV and a Mini Cooper. The total value of his immovable properties is Rs 27 crore, which includes commercial houses in Gurugram and Noida.

Priyanka clarified that she has not been convicted in any case, but is facing one FIR each in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, he has also been issued a notice from the Forest Department of Uttar Pradesh.

Priyanka’s total liabilities are Rs 15.75 lakh. His educational qualifications include BA Hons in Psychology from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi in 1993 and PG Diploma in Buddhist Studies through Distance Learning from the University of Sunderland, UK. Priyanka will contest against CPI’s Satyan Mokeri and BJP’s Navya Haridas in the by-election to be held on November 13. By-elections in Wayanad are scheduled on November 13 and counting of votes will take place on November 23.
