Bunty Sahu, BJP MP from Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, has received a death threat over a phone call from a Pakistani number. It is being told that the call came on WhatsApp. The MP’s personal secretary has lodged a police report in the matter. The matter is being investigated by the Kotwali Municipal Inspector. Since the phone number is from Pakistan, the police is taking this matter seriously. Police officials have also deployed IT and cyber cells for investigation.
Chhindwara MP Vivek Bunty Sahu received a WhatsApp call from an unknown phone number at 3.30 pm on Monday afternoon. This call was picked up by his colleague. Using abusive language against the MP on the phone, he said that forget to come out. I will kill you. Since the phone number started with +92, this phone clearly appeared to have come from Pakistan. In this case, MP’s close aide and BJP leader Arvind Rajput has gone to the Kotwali police station and lodged a written complaint.
He told that the call came from the number 3471933240 through +92 code on WhatsApp calling. +92 is the country code of Pakistan. The person in front has directly talked about killing. BJP leader Arvind Rajput told that at around 3.30 pm the MP’s mobile was in my hand. He was also with me. At the same time a call came from a number starting with +92. It appeared that this number was from abroad. I put the mobile on loud speaker and gave it to the MP.
As soon as he said that I am speaking as MP Vivek Bunty Sahu, the person in front started using abusive words. Told him to forget getting out. I will kill you. After this the MP did not give any reply.
Kotwali police station incharge Umesh Golhani said that the MP had returned from the trip to Kedarnath a day earlier. A call came on his mobile WhatsApp from +92 series which is from Pakistan. He was told that you and your boss go out a lot. Forget getting out. FIR has been registered against unknown. Investigation is underway from all points.
