The Madhya Pradesh government plans to outsource all civil hospitals and community health centers (CHCs), in which the hospitals will be managed by private companies. Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla also discussed recruitment in medical institutions and salary protection of medical colleges.

There are preparations to outsource all the civil hospitals and community health centers (CHCs) of Madhya Pradesh. In this, all the employees from doctors to the outsourced company and other resources will be from the government. The company will manage the hospital. However, control over it will remain with the Administration Block Medical Officer (BMO). The determination of fees and facilities will remain under the control of the government. There are a total of 161 civil hospitals and 348 CHCs in the state.

Recruitment to posts in 54 medical institutions

Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla discussed this with Chief Secretary Anurag Jain on Monday along with other major issues. Matters complicated by lack of inter-departmental coordination were discussed. In this, such matters were also discussed which are stuck due to lack of budget. Along with the approval of posts in 454 medical institutions, Shukla has asked to give priority to the proposal of pay protection in medical colleges.

He also discussed about increasing the maximum age limit for recruitment to the posts of assistant professor in medical colleges to 50 years instead of 40. In another meeting, he talked to the officials of the department regarding providing the services of radiologists in the hospitals of rural areas and strengthening the CHCs.

Discussion regarding stuck registrations in Paramedical Council

Rajendra Shukla has also discussed about undoing the old Act of Paramedical Council. In fact, the Government of India is also forming a council in this regard. For this reason, the state government dissolved its council in April this year.

The Central Council has not been formed yet. Due to this, neither new colleges are being opened nor old colleges are being registered. Such was the situation in the session 2023-24. Now if the council is not formed again, the recognition for the session 2024-25 will also get complicated.

These points were also discussed
