Every person is susceptible to this disease with increasing age. But due to bad lifestyle, increasing smoking among youth, obesity and other reasons, these problems are being seen among the youth. Whereas people above 50 years of age are most victims of this disease. The risk of osteoporosis is highest in women after 45 years and in men after 60 years.

The doctor says that the number of osteoporosis sufferers is 10 to 15 percent of the total patients coming to OPD. Every person is susceptible to this disease with increasing age. But due to bad lifestyle, increasing smoking among youth, obesity and other reasons, these problems are being seen among the youth.

After 30 years, the bone strength of every person starts decreasing, but the speed of decline is much less in those who do regular exercise and take proper diet. In such a situation, problems appear quite late in these people.
