CM Mohan Yadav said that the state government will provide air travel facility to Vindhya residents from this airport (to Bhopal) for Rs 999 for a month. Airstrips will be built in every district of the state. The airstrips of Ujjain, Shivpuri and Datia will be developed and made airports. He also flagged off the Rewa-Bhopal flight. The inauguration of the airport will open doors for development and bring change in the Vindhya region comprising 7 districts including Rewa.

CM Mohan Yadav said that there is natural wealth in this area. Every necessary resource is available for its development. Due to the efforts of Prime Minister Modi and Udaan (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) scheme, the poor are also getting the facility of air travel.
