The world’s richest man Elon Musk started a surprising ‘gift program’ on Saturday. Under this, he will give 1 million dollars to any one person every day till November 5 i.e. the beginning of the presidential elections. However, the person receiving the gift in return will have to support former President Donald Trump on gun culture and play the role of a spokesperson for him till the elections.
Tesla and SpaceX owner Elon Musk announced the gift program at a townhall event in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He said, the recipient of the gift will have to sign a pro-Donald Trump US PAC petition (signature campaign) and provide information as a spokesperson till the election. This signature campaign supports gun rights. Elon Musk said, I want more and more people to become a part of this campaign and try their luck to get 1 million dollars. Elon Musk is a big supporter of industrialist and Republican Party presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Pick one person from the crowd and hand over the cheque.
With this announcement, Elon Musk pointed towards a person from the crowd and called him on the stage. After this the person signed the petition and Elon Musk handed him a check of 1 million dollars. The person who received the gift has been identified as John Dreher. Seeing this, the people present there were surprised and started whistling and clapping.
What is American PAC petition?
This is a signature campaign. Under this, two demands have been made. First, freedom of expression should be maintained. Second, the right to possess guns should not be interfered with. The person signing will have to write that he is pledging to support both these demands.
This campaign will promote gun culture
Experts said, this campaign of Elon Musk will promote gun culture. The demand for ban on guns will weaken. This is a campaign to directly benefit industrialists.
