Naxalites committed two incidents in Bastar; Two ITBP soldiers martyred, Congress leader also killed


Naxalites, enraged by the continuous damage caused by the security forces in Chhattisgarh, carried out incidents in two districts of Bastar on Saturday. In one of these incidents, two ITBP soldiers were martyred, while in another incident, Naxalites killed a Congress leader.

One of these incidents happened when ITBP, BSF and DRG personnel were jointly on operation in Narayanpur district. While returning from the operation, two ITBP soldiers were injured after being hit by an IED blast caused by Naxalites in Kodaliar forest. Both the injured soldiers were being safely evacuated from the spot, meanwhile both the soldiers were martyred.

Amar Panwar, one of the martyred soldiers, was a resident of Satara district of Maharashtra, while K. Rajesh was a resident of Cuddapah district of Andhra Pradesh. Two other soldiers of Narayanpur District Police Force have also been injured in this blast, whose condition is said to be completely out of danger.

Congress leader murdered in Bijapur

Naxalites killed Congress leader Tirupati Bhandari in Usur of Bijapur district. The deceased was the General Secretary of Usur Block of Block Congress Committee. It is being told that Naxalites carried out this incident while operating a ration shop in Usur. It is being told that Naxalites had threatened the deceased earlier also.
